Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comedic perspective before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a time. Her focus shifted to music once she graduated. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album featured other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was a different idea. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
